A Discreet Bureau forYour Cotswolds Life
Some homes are for living in. Others are for escaping to. We ensure yours is always ready for the moments that matter most.
The Cotswold Bureau Concept
The extraordinary, made simply effortless
We are a small, discreet team, and we intend to stay that way. We work with a limited number of families each season, which means we know your house, your preferences, and your calendar properly — not from a file, but from experience.
Professionalism, to us, means reliability without being told twice — anticipating what a house and a family need before being asked, and quietly getting on with it. Responsibility means treating your home, your belongings, and your privacy exactly as we would our own.
That's what a wrap-around service really means: not a checklist of add-ons, but a single, trusted point of contact who understands the whole picture — the house, the grounds, the calendar, and the people who matter most — and handles it end to end.
Small by design. Personal by nature. Present when it counts, and invisible the rest of the time.
The Bureau
A small team, an old way of working. Standing instructions kept, errands run, the house ready before you arrive. Nothing announced, nothing imposed.

Our Clientele

The Engagement
Four conversations
Introduction
A private call, however you found us. We ask about your house, and just as importantly, listen to what matters to you.
The Brief
A written standing brief — your preferences, routines, and recurring tasks, along with who to call if something needs fixing, and how you like the house to feel when you arrive.
First Arrival
We meet at the house. Keys exchanged, systems learned, cupboards and utilities talked through, so nothing's a mystery the next time we're there without you.
Ongoing
A quiet update each month, and a proper catch-up once a year.
We used to lose our Friday evenings to the to-do list. Now the house is breathing when we walk in, and the weekend belongs to us again.
One-stay preparation
Your Cotswolds retreat, ready to the last detail
Not every visit calls for a standing membership. For a single season, or a special week in the Cotswolds, the Bureau offers a one-time preparation service — ensuring your rented or borrowed cottage feels as considered as a house long-loved. We take the keys, attend to every detail, and hand it back to you, pristine.
